Who am I?

My career path has certainly not been planned.

But when I look back, my experiences have given me something unique. And valuable, which I take into every project. My skills have been built across two continents, and through almost every discipline that marketing and communications has to offer.

My story starts in the UK, where I spent eight years working across the construction sector and creative agencies, learning how to stretch tight budgets, meet demanding deadlines, and bring multiple stakeholders along for the ride.

From account management at Leicestershire Promotions to communications roles at Saint-Gobain — one of the world's largest building materials groups — I developed a grounding in corporate communications, marketing, and client services that has shaped everything I've done since.

As Knowledge Manager at Spotless, I established a bid writing function from scratch — creating a library of case studies, standard responses, and profiles, and implementing SharePoint to centralise it all. The result was a measurable increase in the team's win rate. That role taught me something I've never forgotten: the right words, organised the right way, win work.

From there I moved into one of the most demanding marketing roles in the facilities management sector — National General Manager of Marketing at ISS Facility Services, one of the world's largest FM companies. For more than five years I led the national marketing strategy across Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for branding, media, internal and external communications, digital, CRM, websites, events, and advertising. It was a role that required both big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery, often simultaneously.

When I moved to Australia, I brought that foundation with me and built on it.

Then the real challenge came…

In March 2017, I was made redundant. I never saw it coming, and to be honest, it floored me. I was so devastated. I thought I would always work in corporate and that I was more than just a name and employee number. But I was wrong, it was about saving money, and we are all replaceable.

So, I took a few months to try and gain my confidence back, to learn new skills and decide what came next.

In June 2017, I took everything I had learned and backed myself. I founded Bond Creative Content — a consultancy built around one core idea: that smaller businesses deserve access to senior-level marketing and communications expertise, without the cost of a full-time hire or the overhead of an agency.

For nine years, I've been doing exactly that — helping businesses in the FM and property sector write better tenders, build better websites, and communicate more effectively, on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis with no ongoing commitment required.

Over that time, I’ve helped my clients win more than $34 million in contracts. I've built and managed websites as a Squarespace Silver Partner. I've managed an in house communications team of seven. I have written, designed, photographed, and produced communications across print, digital, radio, and outdoor channels.

And I've done it all with the same belief I started with — that great work, done efficiently and with genuine care for the client's success, is the best business development tool there is.
